Entries are open at 4 levels:
Prep to grade 3; grade 4 to grade 6; secondary school and post-secondary
Lake Tyers and surrounding areas is one of the most beautiful and ecologically diverse regions in Victoria. It includes extensive , RAMSAR listed wetlands, forests and is home to a vast range of birds, mammals, reptiles (some rare and vulnerable), as well as butterflies and other little known creatures. Yet, it is threatened by human activities, such as pollution and litter, inappropriate development, clearing of bush and roaming dogs, cats and foxes.
We are looking for entries that best demonstrate the unique and precious environmental qualities of the Lake Tyers area, which can be anywhere from Nowa Nowa to Lake Bunga. It may include photos, artwork or writing about its natural beauty, the plants and the animals that live here, as well as the threats facing this wonderful region. Closing date for entries - 27 September 2013
